Walter R. Smith, D.Min., INFJ, President: Walter is President of Lifeweb Resources, a teaching-learning company bringing the benefits of Type and Temperament to interpersonal relationships in the work place and at home. He is a Certified Practitioner in the MBTI®, a Temperament Certified™ Professional, and holds additional certifications in FIRO-B® and FIRO Element B™, and The Communication Wheel™. In 2005 he received the Excellence in Chapter Leadership Award from the Association for Psychological Type (APTi). He is also a writer having just completed a memoir entitled Learning to Forgive: A Memoir of Doubt and Faith.

Linda Vaughn, INFJ:  Linda is a native of North Carolina, educated at UNC-Chapel Hill and Duke University.  Qualified in Myers-Briggs and certificates in Conflict-Dynamic Profile, Kirton Adaptive-Innovative Theory Inventory, Associate in Project Management, Project Management Professional, Professional Services Marketer, and Life Coach, she describes herself as a life-long learner.  Her practice, Linda Vaughn Inc., focuses on people skills and project management training. I also provide management consulting services in marketing, business development, and business process analysis.  An INFJ she extroverts for work but recharges her batteries with good books, long walks with her dog, and silent retreats.  Her favorite books are Eckart Tolle’s A New Earth, Kathryn Sockett’s The Help, and Jim Collins Good to Great.

Stephanie Rogers, ENFJ, V.P. of Programs: Stephanie started her consulting practice, PurposePoints, in 1996 to serve individuals seeking to reframe issues of identity in order to more effectively integrate identity, purpose, and potential into the many aspects of their daily lives. Stephanie also applies her expertise in support of exasperated parents and harried educators, and she has always maintained a special research interest in the Artisan (SP) temperament. Stephanie began her work in temperament and type over twenty years ago and has served as an associate with Temperament Research Institute and as faculty for the Type Resources MBTI Qualifying Program. In addition to her previous experience as APTi Board Member ’93-’95, Stephanie has served the type and temperament professional community in three APT chapters: Orange County, CA, Indiana Chapter, and now APT/RTP.

Mary Shaver, INFP, VP of Membership: Mary is a children’s librarian at the Orange County Main Library in Hillsborough.  She became interested in type when she worked in the Human Resources Department at UNC-Chapel Hill.  She became a certified practitioner and then worked with university employees on career development and teambuilding.  Mary enjoys meeting with other chapter members to discuss recent developments in type and to learn new ways to apply type to her personal and professional life.  (Education:  B.A. in English from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA;   M.L.S from North Carolina Central University)

Jenny Soper, INFJ, Treasurer: Jenny has been using psychological type since 1990 and has held a number of different positions on the chapter board over the past 17 years. She works at Wake Technical Community College where she uses type to help students understand their learning styles, and the Association for Psychological Type (APTi) has recognized her for excellence in her work in education. She currently serves as secretary.

Grace Thompson, ISTJ, VP of Communications: Grace is a Business Coach with Lendor Consulting.  She coaches small business owners and corporate professionals to be effective leaders, maximize productivity through improved relationships, impact the culture of their organizations, increase profitability for their organization and receive personal career satisfaction.  Her years of experience in both the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors give her a unique perspective of what is needed for success.  Grace is qualified in MBTI, Tilt Leadership Predictor, and the Benchmark suite of assessment tools.

Peter Anlyan, INTP, At-Large Board Member: Peter built teams during 20 years of corporate life, including two start-up companies. Having been an organizational development catalyst for clients in a myriad of industries, his work in Top Ten Hospitals includes a broad range of programs. He is a Certified Practitioner in the MBTI, certified in Crucial Conversations, and Coaching and Organizational Learning (Newfield Network). He authored the Fulcrum Leadership and Team series, including Leadership for Logical Thinkers. He was a founding leadership coach with Leadership Triangle and is a Principle Associate of The Learning Consortium. He has chaired, co-chaired or served on over a dozen organizational boards and is a founding Director of Cardinal State Bank. He currently serves as Co-chair of the MIT Information Quality Industry Symposium.
